Rondo scores triple double in win over Raptors
Celtics Rajon Rondo continues to fire up as he records his first triple double this season.
Rondo, alongside Rasheed Wallace, led the Boston Celtics to another win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, finishing with a score of 114-104.
Rondo contributed 22 points, 13 assists, four steals, and 10 rebounds, while Wallace recorded his season-high score of 29 points.
“It’s nice to have (the triple double), but the biggest thing is to get the win”, Rondo said. “I’d hate to get a triple double where I had a big game and we lose.”
It was a perfect run for the Celtics after losing four of their last six games. Wallace’s five three pointers energised others. Boston banked six more three pointers to rule the Air Canada Arena in front of 19,800 fans watched.

“Doc put a big emphasis on it before the game to come out and get a good start”, Rondo said. “Getting off to a good start was big for us. We didn’t finish the game extremely well but we got the job done”.
According to Rondo, his teammates motivated him to go all the way in the fourth quarter, as they realised he was getting another triple double. He scored 18 points in the first three quarters of the game.
Meanwhile, Toronto’s loss over Celtics ended their six-game winning streak at home. Chris Bosh fouled out of the game with 31 points and 13 rebounds. Andre Bargani, on the other hand, had 23 points.
